These photographs, a fraction, a glimpse, of the thousands I shot over a period of 3 years as a personnel project on Paul’s Studio.

In this body of work I was interested in the ephemeral nature of an artists studio and not so much in the who how and what of creation but rather the edges of creation.

I choose B/W having already documented the studio over a longer period of time in colour (culminating in the book “Dibble”) to capture more of what I felt about place in a way that colour sometimes doesn’t allow.
